Brancaster Care Homes are all about caring, we aim to deliver the finest standards of care for all of our residents.
Caring For You
Brancaster Care care about caring – it is, of course, what our whole business is about. But unlike bigger companies who may have share holders and financiers to answer to, Brancaster Care Homes keep caring for our clients as our main focus. With that as a foundation we are strongly aware that our main reason to exist is to provide high levels of care whilst maintaining the residents individuality and dignity.
We aim to deliver the finest levels of care for all our residents. To enable us to do this we have some key standards that are adhered to throughout all of our separate properties.
The managers and staff of each of our homes are all subject to ongoing and continuous training – to ensure that they are best equipped to meet our residents care needs. We endeavour to keep our properties up to date in both standards of decor and equipment. However, we do not believe that this is enough, we have spent time considering what makes a Brancaster care Home more then just a residence, but actually a home!
We pride ourselves on knowing each of our resident’s care and social needs. To do this from the outset we need to get to know them a little better. So, in advance of their stay, the home will allocate a carer to spend time discussing a personalised care plan with the resident and their family, incorporating any special needs and requirements they may have.
Once a new resident arrives for their stay they’ll be introduced to their own dedicated nurse, who will be given the lead responsibility of helping them settle in. Once we get to know them better, the care plan that we develop based upon this knowledge will reflect his or her unique needs.
Throughout our homes, our bedrooms are decorated and furnished to a high standard and we encourage our residents to add to the décor and furniture, to make their room their own personal ‘home from home’.
Standard room facilities include en-suite washrooms and toilets, central heating, a colour television with digital reception, nurse call system and smoke detector.
For those residents with special needs we provide wheelchair access to all areas, assisted baths and other specialised equipment.
We ensure residents understand that they are free to go out with friends and family at any time, or alternatively, visitors are welcome to visit them, and by prior arrangement, visitors can share meals with the residents either in the privacy of their own room or in our dedicated dining areas.
All our food is freshly prepared using the finest of ingredients sourced locally. In addition, we also serve tea, coffee and light snacks whenever they are required.
As well as taking care of physical health and well being, Brancaster Care Home carers are trained to preserve our residents individual rights of respect and privacy. However, our homes also allow for our clients social lives as well and space is set aside as places that residents can meet, chat read, watch television or listen to the radio.
When the weather allows, our residents are free to use our various exterior facilities, all of our homes have private garden areas and patios and a member of staff is always available to escort them if required.
We encourage our residents to pursue their hobbies and enjoy the other activities and services we can provide. Some homes have designated activity coordinators and access to a minibus with tail lift and wheelchair access for outside social activities.
Brancaster care Homes regularly organise visits from hair stylists, dentists, opticians and whatever local GP the resident has chosen to register with – cChiropody and physiotherapy are arranged as required.
Our homes continue to improve their care standards by pursuing nationally recognise standards and awards.
